7642 High Temperature Capacitive Uncooled Extension Extensometer (700˚C)

1. Introduction:
Used in climate chambers where the entire extensometer is exposed to elevated temperatures. These capacitive extensometers are used up to 700°C (1300°F) without any cooling. Suitable for flat specimens up to 50 mm wide and up to 6.35 mm thick; up to 19 mm wide with a thickness of 6.35 mm to 12.5 mm.
The Model 7642 is ideal for testing composites, metals, and high temperature polymers in tension, compression, or cycling.
The extensometer comes with an advanced DT6229 controller. This system provides a number of functional enhancements, including a high-speed digital output, built-in calibration and tare functions, analog and digital filters, and more.
