The torsion test device subjects the cable to a torsion force around its own axis, subsequently verifying the optical transmission and assessing the physical damage of the sheath.
The program-controlled optical cable torsion tester is essentially composed of two clamping devices, one end is fixed and the other end rotates to complete the torsion test. The tester is connected to the reducer by a motor. A small synchronous pulley is installed on the output shaft of the reducer. The small synchronous pulley drives the large synchronous pulley to drive the main shaft fixed by the fixed frame to rotate. There is a sample clamp on the main shaft for tightening the sample. The other end of the test bench is a fixed clamp that does not rotate. The clamp is fixed on a trolley that can move back and forth. The trolley is connected to the weight with a wire rope, so that the sample always maintains a certain test requirement tension during the entire test process. The speed of torsion is achieved by controlling the speed of the servo motor.
