What precautions should be taken when operating an impact testing machine for tests?

An impact Testing Machine is equipment that applies impact test force to a specimen for impact testing. It is mainly used to determine the impact resistance performance and quality of metal materials. hualong specializes in manufacturing material testing equipment such as impact testing machines, which boast high quality, reliable performance, and after-sales service to help customers solve technical problems related to the products.
During the operation of an impact testing machine, certain precautions must be observed to avoid deviations in test results. Let’s take a detailed look at them below:
During the test, both operators and observers must stay outside the safety warning line. This ensures they are not affected by the test and guarantees their personal safety.
There are strict rules for removing the pendulum of the impact testing machine: first, remove the lower protective net, then loosen the nuts, and finally use a pendulum remover to pull out the pendulum. It is important to note that you should hold the joint of the pendulum rod with your right hand and slowly move the pendulum to the left. At the same time, gently place the pendulum on the machine base before taking it out.
When installing the pendulum, first place it gently on the base. Similarly, hold the joint of the pendulum rod with your right hand and slowly move the pendulum to the specimen support. Use your left hand to adjust the dial, then align the pendulum head with the slot, push the pendulum into position, tighten the nuts, and install the protective net. In fact, the pendulum installation and removal procedures are reversed—once you master the installation steps, you will know how to remove it.
Before conducting the test with the equipment, the focal length must be adjusted properly, and all basic preparations must be completed to ensure the accuracy of test results .
During the test, anhydrous ethanol must be added to the cooling tank, and the concentration of ethanol should not be lower than 99.5%. Otherwise, the test results will be affected, leading to inaccurate measured data.
When heating up during the test, the temperature should be controlled at approximately 30°C to prevent ethanol  from self-igniting and causing safety accidents.
The specimens in the specimen box must meet strict requirements: they must be free of iron filings, dust, and burrs. This ensures the accuracy of material testing data.
When the testing machine is in operation, press the pendulum release button. If the pendulum does not rotate clockwise, cut off the power supply immediately and recalibrate it to ensure it rotates clockwise.
During the test, to ensure the accuracy of data, the first specimen should not be used for the formal impact test; instead, the second specimen should be used for the impact test .
